Incremenirea in proiect

Vorbeam aici despre un posibil destin potrivnic finalizarii traducerii povestilor mele. Amicul David din USA, cel care s-a angajat sa-mi faca lucrarea pana la 15 octombrie, pare-se ca are anumite probleme. Nu vreau sa spun despre ce e vorba, intrucat e doar o banuiala.

Pe 23 octombrie mi-a scris asa: 

Raul, thanks ever so much for your patience. Family matters have been resolved and I'm back on track with your stories. I will have the revisions to you by this weekend. 

Pe 1 noiembrie, mi-a facut o noua promisiune:

Raul, yes, without question, I will complete edits this weekend. Apologies again.

Pe 6 noiembrie, mi-a trimis un nou mail, de data asta cu prima poveste:

Hi Raul, yes, let me take the following approach to ensure continued progress and to stop holding you up.  I've attached the first story, Hamma, the Desert Fox, fully edited.  As I transcribe my edits from hardcopy to electronic form for each story, I'll email you each completed story.  And apologies again that life has fallen in the way of completing these edits sooner for you.

Pe 11 noiembrie, un nou angajament:

Hi Raul, yes, I have my schedule free to complete each story this week Wednesday at latest.  I have primarily to transcribe my paper notes still to electronic copy (and therefore do one more edit through each story).

In 12 noiembrie, mi-a sosit a doua poveste:

Pe 14 noiembrie, mi-a trimis-o pe-a treia, atasata urmatorului mesaj:

Hi Raul, again thanks for your patience -- I've completed edits and revisions for the next story, attached.  Please do not hesitate to send me questions.  The remaining stories are coming soon. Thank you very much,

Acest "soon" poate sa insemne absolut orice, au trecut zece zile si nu mai am niciun semn de la David. I-am scris din nou si nu-mi raspunde. Parerea mea e ca nu poate, efectiv, sa lucreze, din anumite pricini, si prinde cate un moment in care trece la treaba, dar momentul ala nu tine destul, asa ca iar se opreste. Americanii zic "procrastination" pentru asa ceva. Liiceanu a lansat varianta romaneasca "incremenirea in proiect". Asta cred ca e problema principala a lui David.

Cat despre Tony Pearson, cu el e clar: nu mai face nicio editare. M-a tinut vreo opt luni pe loc dar asta e parte din lucrarea destinului potrivnic si cu destinul nu poti sa te lupti, intrucat el nu poate decat sa se implineasca.
